Sample VSME report

A complete VSME report you can download now

This is a full sustainability report under VSME, the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for small and medium companies. ESGDO prepared it for a fictional company. It is the same output that the application produces for a real company.

Both files come from the same report.

PDF

The report as a PDF file

A single file with a cover page, a contents page, navigation bookmarks, and charts for energy, emissions and workforce data. This is what you send to a bank or a customer.

XBRL

The same report as an XBRL file

XBRL is a machine readable file format. This file uses the VSME taxonomy published by EFRAG on 1 May 2026. EFRAG is the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group. Banks, auditors and large buyers load files like this directly into their systems.

The export follows the language you selected in the application. The figures stay identical. You write the descriptive sections in each language you need, so every version is a real document rather than a machine translation.

What to look at

The emission figures

Each calculated figure comes from a published national database. The application records the source when the figure is applied.

Energy in more than one country

The example company has sites in the Netherlands, Germany and France. Energy is entered separately for each country, because electricity emission factors differ between them. The totals are then added together.

The descriptive sections

Open the report in more than one language. The figures stay identical. The narrative text was written for each language, not translated at the moment of export. A report can hold complete text in all eight languages at once.

The structure

The sections follow the VSME standard published by EFRAG.

About the example

The company in this report does not exist. The figures are realistic but invented. We publish it so you can judge the output before you spend any time on your own report.
